SUSTAINABLE DANCE FLOOR ™
Sustainable Dance Club developed the Sustainable Dance Floor™. It was launched in the market in 2008 as the world’s first energy generating floor. It is now used as eyecatcher for sustainable innovation at many events and exhibitions, ranging from a pavilion for renewable energy at the Winter Olympics to use in a club during the Brazilian carnival and to use in a campaign to present a new electric car at the Paris Auto show.
The Sustainable Dance Floor (SDF) uses dancing and moving people as a sustainable source of energy. The energy produced by movement is converted into electricity that is used to make the dance floor react to the public in an interactive way. It makes them contribute to the collective experience. The electricity can also be fed back to the electricity grid or used to power local systems such as LED-lights.

TECHNIQUE
To create electricity, the floor will compress 10mm when being stepped on. This small compression is enough to activate the internal generator of that module that will produce up to 35 Watt of sustained output per module.
The dance floor being a scalable floor with modules of 75x75x20 cm each, allows for a large amount of possible sizes, shapes and designs of the setup. The experience can be custom designed for clients.
RENTAL OPTIONS
The Sustainable Dance Floor is available for rent, with options from 9 tiles as a showcase to a full dance floor of 100 tiles, and everything in between. The dance floor can be easily transported and set up, providing a fun and eye-catching way to showcase sustainability at events, exhibitions and festivals all over the world.

PURCHASE OPTIONS
For permanent installations in your club, museum, company hall or for an exhibition or a public space, Sustainable Dance Floor modules can be purchased. The minimum number of tiles is four, while no maximum applies. Purchased tiles come in a package with a control unit (drive behind the technique) and Energy Meter.
